Maxima — AI-Powered Brand & Experience Design

Strategy, Brand, Experience, Growth — In That Order

Most design engagements start at the logo and never get back to the question the business was actually asking. Maxima runs the sequence properly: what you stand for, how that looks, how it behaves as an interface, and what it does commercially. AI accelerates the exploration; it does not replace the decisions.

Brand and digital experience design for US businesses. Designed by Maxima, built by Axiom — so what you approve is what ships.

The Problem

Brand & Design Problems We Solve

A Logo, Not a System?

One mark and no rules produces a brand that falls apart the moment three people apply it. What a business needs is a system: colour, type, components, and the guidance for using them consistently.

Brand and Website Designed by Different People?

The identity says one thing, the interface says another, and the developer resolves the conflict by guessing. Maxima designs both, and Axiom builds them, inside one company.

Design Decisions Settled by Opinion?

Without a written position, every review becomes a matter of taste and the loudest person wins. Strategy first means later arguments have something to be checked against.

Designs That Cannot Be Built as Drawn?

Heavy heroes and late-loading layouts fail Google's Core Web Vitals thresholds. We design inside them rather than handing engineering a brief that cannot be met.

Rebranded and Lost Your Rankings?

A name change usually drags a domain move behind it, and an unmapped migration costs years of organic traffic. We plan that migration as part of the rebrand, not after it.

Using AI to Generate, Not to Decide?

AI is genuinely good at exploring directions quickly and genuinely bad at knowing which one is right for your market. We use it to widen the search and keep the judgement human.

Services

Brand & Experience Services

Strategy and identity work, the interface design that carries it, and the creative that comes off the back of both.

By industry

Website Design Built Around One Industry

A website for a med spa and a website for a roofer share almost nothing. These are designed around how each industry is actually searched and bought.

What's Included

How a Maxima Engagement Works

Four stages. Most clients start at the audit, and a good number stop there with a written recommendation.

1. Strategy

Brand audit, competitive positioning, audience, value proposition, and messaging — written down before any visual work begins.

2. Brand

Identity as a system: logo, colour, typography, graphic language, and the guidelines that keep it consistent once we are gone.

3. Experience

The interface that brand lives in: UI/UX, design systems, and product design, specified to the state rather than handed over as a picture.

4. Growth

Campaign, social, presentation and marketing creative produced against the system, so every asset compounds instead of drifting.

AI-Assisted Exploration

AI used to widen concept exploration and moodboarding early, where breadth is cheap, and stepped back from where judgement matters.

Built, Not Just Designed

Where you want it built, Axiom builds it — same company, same review, no translation loss between the file and the site.

Packaging & Print

Where the brand has a physical presence: packaging, print, signage and collateral produced from the same system.

Documented Handover

Guidelines, source files, and tokens in formats your team and your developers can actually use.

How It Works

What AI Actually Changes About Design Work

1

The honest version: AI has made exploration nearly free and judgement more valuable. It has not made design cheaper in the way the marketing suggests.

2

Twenty directions in an afternoon is genuinely new, and it means a strategy conversation can be had against real visuals rather than adjectives. What has not changed is knowing which of the twenty fits a market you understand, which will survive being applied to a hundred touchpoints, and which one a competitor already occupies. That is still the expensive part, and it is still done by people.

3

So we lead with AI where it earns its place — concept breadth, moodboards, campaign variations — and we are candid that the strategy, the selection, and the systems thinking are human work you are paying for deliberately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Brand strategy, brand identity, and digital experience design — plus the marketing creative that comes off the back of them. In practice that runs from positioning and naming through logo systems and guidelines to UI/UX, design systems, and product interfaces. Where the work needs building, Axiom builds it.

A graphic design agency sells output: a logo, a brochure, a set of social templates. We sell the sequence that makes the output right — position, then identity, then interface, then campaign assets. It is a more demanding way to start and a much cheaper way to finish, because fewer decisions get reversed.

AI is used where breadth is genuinely valuable and cheap: concept exploration, moodboarding, visual direction, and campaign variations. It is not used to make the strategic calls, choose the direction, or build the system — those are judgement, and judgement is the part you are hiring. We would rather be specific about that than imply the whole process is automated.

Both, and increasingly the interface work is the larger half. Website and product design sit under Digital Experience, and where the site needs building rather than designing, Axiom handles that in the same engagement. Designing and building separately is where most of the cost and the disappointment comes from.

Quoted per project after a scoping call rather than published as a band. A brand refresh for an existing business and a full rebrand with naming, a new identity system, and a domain migration differ by an order of magnitude, so any published figure would be wrong for most enquiries. The audit is scoped and priced first.

Refresh, usually. Keep the name and its equity, sharpen the positioning, modernise the identity. A full rebrand is right when the name is a genuine ceiling — it describes a service you have outgrown, a city you have left, or it collides with someone in your category. We work this out in the audit and put the recommendation in writing, including when it is the cheaper one.

It can, and it is avoidable. The damage comes from unmapped URL changes, business names inconsistent across listings, and structured data still describing the old entity. Google publishes explicit guidance on site moves; we follow it, map every redirect, update listings and schema together, and watch Search Console afterwards.

Yes. In that case the handoff is the deliverable: annotated specifications, states defined rather than implied, and tokens in a format your team can consume. We stay available during the build, because most detail is lost in the questions nobody asks.
